Hello my name is Ash McDonald my partner Emma and I sold our house in Doubleview through Peter and Bernadette Kasten. If you have got this far that means you have at least some interest and i can assure you that your interest is well founded. When Peter and Bernadette presented to us they were the last of a number of agents, and my head was somewhere else but because we had a family member who had dealt with peter and Bernadette in the past we felt obligated to give them a shot and their shot was very very good.

The thing that impressed me the most about them was not a typical kind of thing, trying to make you feel good about your property or general salesmanship, it was very much research data driven. I think we had spoken to them one or two days before then when they turned up at our property they had a whole portfolio picture of the house, which i had no idea how they got it or how they obtained it. There was such well researched evidence and history of sales of what i actually bought the property for the history of sales in surrounding areas. And why that was important to me because it was that was persuading me why the house was worth a certain number.

 
you have all these people come through that say its worth X its worth Y and ultimately you don’t know what the property is worth until its sold, and you are often attracted to the agent who can promise you the highest number. Peter wasn’t promising me the highest number, what he was promising was a number that actually had a degree of analysis and reason and logic behind it. Now houses are emotional and very much a feeling type of thing, but that kind of reason and analysis certainly appealed to myself and Emma. And then in the actual sales process itself we never felt out of the loop, we never felt they were not working. quite the opposite, our impression was that they were working very very very hard and we ultimately saw the rewards of those because frankly my house wasn’t an easy sell, it was on a busy busy road in a difficult location. so the market is that much more smaller. So we would thoroughly recommend Bernadette and Peter.

It is very easy to be sold by agent, but its very hard to be convinced by agents and i was certainly convinced and i would recommend using Bernadette and Peter to anyone in the future.

My name is Wayne Monks and I live at Bushey Road Wembley Downs. I suppose I’m very fortunate, sad in one way because I’ve sold a dwelling at Auction that was very close to my heart and I have been living here for almost 25 years.

But also I’m very appreciative of the great work that Peter and Bernadette Kasten have done in terms of sitting down with me, gone through all the paperwork, coming up with a very good selling and marketing plan for the house.  Including a well-designed sign, and also following through with home openings twice every weekend.

Having a quite a large number of people coming through. And then finalising the sale process with an Auction on the 5th of September which was successful. We managed to get quite a few bidders it was a very encouraging effort there with the coffee machine, the barbecue to draw local people to the Auction and Buyers. So it was a successful day.

Prices are down a little bit in Perth which is unfortunate, but that is the market. But they did a great Job. Very Personal touch, just that they appreciated very much the sort of style and the character of the house which I think that helped with the sale process. Because they certainly did in the advertising in the Sunday times and the coverage that we had was really excellent, it was first class in terms of demonstrating some of the great characteristics about the property. The house itself, the inside, the gardens the outdoor perspective.

Just a nice beautiful time of year to have the Auction and the sale process go through. So all and all a very good and complete event.

It finished off basically when the Auction process went through, and the effort that Peter and Bernadette put in to bring this outcome together was very good.

I’d like to thank them and Realmark very much for the great work that was done. I can certainly recommend them to any potential buyers or sellers of properties in the Western Suburbs and in this part of Perth. But thanks very much for that, Thank you.

I engaged Peter Kasten to sell my house. It sold fairly quickly in 35 days so I was very pleased about that. What impressed me about Peter was when he first arrived he asked me what he wanted our relationship to be, so what I expected and I didn’t want somebody who was in my face and ringing me every 5 minutes and talking the market up and talking the market down because it’s quite stressful selling a house and I didn’t want that roller coaster.

So he was willing to listen. He – that’s exactly what he did. He interacted with me in the manner that I wanted him to. And everything went really smoothly. So you know it was really stressful at the time because I had a lot going on and he was very, he worked with the fact that I didn’t have a lot of time to talk with him or meet with him.

So I felt at all times I felt like I was getting a clear picture of the market, the value of the house, what was happening with the potential buyers.
